Joshua Melda provides advanced strategic financial planning and wealth management advice to individuals, professionals, executives, business owners, and their families. Josh believes in starting an advisory relationship by taking the time to deeply understand each client’s unique goals and situation. Once he has gathered the appropriate information, Josh develops a comprehensive financial plan complete with specific action steps to implement the strategies. He believes in proactive communication to ensure that his clients are informed of their financial plan, investment policy, and progress toward their goals. Josh also consults on the design, implementation, and review of retirement plans for businesses such as 401(k)’s, 403(b)’s, SEP’s, and SIMPLE’s.

Prior to joining Lincoln Financial Advisors, Josh was a Partner with Cedar Brook Group and a Financial Advisor with PNC Investments, formerly NatCity Investments. Prior to his role as a financial advisor, Josh spent several years in National City Bank’s Private Client Group Trust Division. Josh started his career in wealth management with Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner, & Smith as a financial advisor where he earned the Series 7, Series 66, Series 31, as well as Life, Health, Disability, and Annuity Insurance Licenses. Before that, he was an accountant at Ernst & Young LLP’s Cleveland Office.

Josh earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in Accounting from Cleveland State University. He attended the prestigious Cannon Financial Institute’s Wealth Management University and their Trust School where he gained extensive knowledge in wealth planning strategies and advanced estate, trust, and tax planning skills. Josh has also earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) certification through The College for Financial Planning.

Devoted to reducing financial illiteracy among children, Josh is a volunteer with Junior achievement of Greater Cleveland. He is an avid tennis player and also enjoys competing in triathlons. He resides in Fairview Park, Ohio with his wife, Wendy, their three children – Madelynn, Emma, and Logan, and their chocolate Labrador retriever named Tuxedo.
